Between 5 and 13 March my wife and i will be visiting the two capitals, and of course, i want to see as much wildlife as possible.
So, if you know some cool yet accessible locations for birdwatching / fieldherping, please PM me.
Main target will be, you guessed it, my Nemesis - The Danube Crested Newt.

For Birding in Vienna, you should visit the Danube Island and the New Danube, it is also for herping very interessting.

Vlad, I think you think on the Danube island in Vienna?
Believe me, Austria is a civilized country
So you may not be afraid on murders, robbers etc! Not more or less than in every other place in Central Europe
... and you may reach the island within a few minutes by tramway, bus or subway (yes we have all of them )
