So I was right: even the previous author, Ivan Zwach, had not checked...
I. Zwach (1990), page 116:
"In the National Museum there is a preserved slow worm which is completely blue
(oral communication by J. Čihař 1985)."

Also, let's not rule out post mortem colour shifts in this NM specimen, e.g. I'm sure many of you have seen how blue Lacerta agilis can go after death.
