Balkan Trip, Ada Bojana (Montenegro):

Postby Paul Lambourne » Mon May 02, 2011 9:37 pm

I have just returned from a splendid Balkan herping road trip, organised by Tomaz. We had ten days to tick as many species as possible... even though the weather was not always the best I think we did fairly well :D I will let Tomaz provide a full trip report but I will just post a few pics .. I will try and limit my pics to just a few per country so I dont bore you all :D

Firstly Ada Bojana (Montenegro):

Come on; waiting for the hundreds of Ammodytes.

Those pics are already very good, but I was thinking the same :D Let's have some red vipers

Sorry to dissapoint you guys, we only saw two ammodytes on Ada, which quickly dissapeared into a thicked. So no pics from there...

I expect I'll have the whole trip report posted here in a day or so, for now I can only give some statistics... 8 days, 4500km and 43 (or possibly 44) species of herps :D

Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised too much if they were true...

Not really, but they did have a very big pile of branches to hide in :)
