Hemidactylus turcicus turcicus (LINNAEUS, 1758)
Other Kvarner Islands records – Krk: observed by BRUNO (1980), and SOCHUREK (1985); mapped by BRUNO & MAUGERI (1976)

From: Herpetofaunal data from Cres Island, Croatia Herpetofaunistische Daten über die Insel Cres, Kroatien TAMÁS TÓTH & HEINZ GRILLITSCH & BALÁZS FARKAS & JÁNOS GÁL & GORAN SUŠIĆ

And T.mauritanica is reported for Krk too:

yes, we know those obscure records by Bruno and Sochurek, but nobody have found them after. For Losinj and Cres, records are ok. we found Hemidactylus now in the town of Cres in June 2016, and a friend in Valun in 2015.

But why didn't you?! That's certainly not a reason for a big "very happy" smile/smiley...
You could have been the first RELIABLE finder - after Bruno & Sochurek, who we just
don't believe, for many good reasons. So, you missed your opportunity for fame...

@ Mario: Maybe they really got introduced to Omišalj recently, just like the oxies
to Osor. Also, as far as I know, noone has actually been very keen on Omišalj...
We might have overlooked a small local population there, especially a recent one.

Two interesting pictures taken in Cres Island by my friend Melo.
Hemidactylus inside his room at the Hotel Kimen and an Emys near Osor.

We must also think that reptiles populations can also change with time (by introduction and/or extinction): where I live, for instance, in the south of the Pavia province, were once present some Podarcis sicula (1970 years, exactly where I live): now this species is here no longer present!
