Here's the update of the update!
Autumn is baby season for reptiles, so besides the adult R.dalmatina I also found some little guys that arrived to this world this year!
Wish them luck in the future!
- Anguis fragilis,newborn
- Anguis fragilis,newborn
- Emys orbicularis, hatchling slightly bigger than a coin! It was in the shallows and didn't try to escape at all when I cought it! Maybe relying on it's comouflage in the mud and pabbles!
- Same individual
- Natrix natrix persa,juvenile. This ssp. is very rare in that part of the country,so I was happy to find that we have them here,together with the dominant N.n.natrix!
- Coronella austriaca,newborn. I found it under a piece of wood,together with exactly the same looking newborn A.fragilis from the photos above! If I was there a few minutes later,maybe I would've seen the Coronella eating it! It reminded me of my first Coronella,which I found in tha same way..only both the snake and the slow owrm were adults!
