I am staying in Kefalonia this week and have just spotted this lizard in the garden, moreoticus or nigropunctatus?

I vote for moreoticus, the back and flank scales are of similar size, nigropunctatus has larger scales on the back compared to the flanks.

I hope so, it would be a new species for me, our first day went well with P tauricus in the airport car park and then 4 C caretta in the harbour.

I'm hardly qualified, but I'll say for
moreoticus as well, though I've never seen one and haven't checked my field guide for indentifying features - simply because it looks quite different from all the several
nigropunctatus I
have seen

I've seen both in the last 2 years and in my modest opinion I vote for moreoticus.
