I believe it is just a simple confusion with a slow worm. Gerald and me found a slow worm on Krk in 2005 at high noon active moving

For sure it was not a slow worm: it was something very fast and "snake-like" moving.
If not a Chalcides chalcides, it had to be a young gemonensis... ;)
