I am taking the liberty of promoting someone else's trip report.

I went there with my friend Pierre-Yves, but being a bit lazy during this trip,
result could have been much better, as most of the time I searched alone :)

A "sligtly" unclear and/or misleading statement (as offered here in English)... WHO was actually
the one "being a bit lazy during this trip", if most of the time it was YOU who searched alone?
(As I understood it, adding a mere "him" could make everything clear, that is, "... but HIM being
a bit lazy during this trip..." Is that so? Or I'm "imagining" again? Provoking? Nitpicking?)

Anyhow, when it comes to the very fieldtrip and your report on it, both are superb, no question.

And many thaks to Jeroen for "taking the liberty of promoting someone else's trip report". It was
certainly worth it.

He joked about Pierre-Yves being a bit lazy.

More important, Frank told me he found his "luck" again. He found his "nemesis": finally a Platyceps najadum to photograph after missing it too many times before!
Great!

Well, I suppose so as well, but he did it in a sort of English that leaves one to wonder whether it was on purpose or not...
I spent 10 days with him in the field a few years ago, so I know (and deeply respect) him, I know his level of English (quite
usable!), so I just wondered whether in this particular case he might have used or (deliberately) misused his English...

Yes, that's great indeed, and much more important. I've never caught one with my own hands, and have photographed only
one, caught by a fellow Austrian fieldherper who had more luck.

Who cares!? Please stop soiling this beautiful forum with your trivial pursuits. I'm going crazy. Write something ON TOPIC (yes, that's right, you got me shouting now) about the herps, the quality of the pics, or whatever, instead of the fleas in your brain.

But I've already written that, maybe you've skipped it in your anger:

What more should I add? "Very nice photos, thanks for sharing..."? "Great report!"? We've read that for hundreds of times...
Is my "superb" not enough? Of course Frank's photos are superb, and his fieldtrips are really fascinating, we all know that
already, he knows that himself, so, what?
After all, sometimes I even do contribute something about the herps as well, don't I? So, take it easy, amigo, por favor.

... soiling this beautiful forum with your trivial pursuits. I'm going crazy.

You want a referendum? Just organize one, your'e an administrator - let people vote. Vox populi, vox Dei. I'd accept it.
Going crazy? There are remedies even to that.

Jeroen now was the first start shouting, but maybe not the first getting crazy!
So, please Bero, keep in mind Jeroen words:
"Write something ON TOPIC about the herps, the quality of the pics, or whatever, instead of the fleas in your brain."
