Yup, i did it.

I went on a birding trip in the Danube Delta, and also did my thing around the rock piles. One thing lead to another, and one way or the other i found quite e few herp species, considering it was the 10th of january. ;)

Oh, and my friend showed me a Bewick's Swan, and my wife pointed me another long awaited lifer, the Red-breasted Goose. :D

:D Ha ha Peter, i wasn`t naughty, i was nice. Otherwise i would have not received those sweet lifer birds. But let's see now, shall we?!

- i saved some terrapins from an open manhole. Good deed.
- i used a frozen stiff snake for the shot. Not bad at all. :P
- that lizard was not hibernating. It moved when the rock was lifted. I`ve found hibernating herps before, and they do not run the second you expose them. So i did not capture it (good deed), just replaced the rock (good deed) and did my happy dance. (not such a good idea now that i think of it).

So to all the children reading this - happy herping and remember to always replace them rocks just as you found them, ok ?!

kthxbai ;)

Well, I apologize: so many good deeds! You should be nominized for the herpwatch award. :P
Maybe then we all can see some pics of your happy dance
To all children reading this: maybe, when your old enough, uncle Vlad will take you on a herping trip!

P.S.: Bewick's Swan? Red-breasted Goose? Danube Delta seems to be birding paradise...
