It now says "Habituellement expédié sous 1 à 4 semaines." on the French Amazon, so Alex certainly has been waiting for a long time...

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, for our peace of mind ;) ), we have no say in the sales and delivery of our book, especially if it's sold through suppliers other than the publishers themselves. I'm sorry...

Why are you buying from Amazon? Buying from publisher is cheaper, 17 british pounds vs $25.72 for paperback version.

Where's that 17? I see 22.5.

Note that these prices tend to change quite rapidly. In this case, they seem to have been going up quite a bit...

Guilty as charged.

...but only because I had nothing but the silliest and most tedious of nitpicking.

Distribution maps:

Ichthyosaura's Danish distribution is much smaller, only just crossing the border in the southeastern corner of Jutland.

Likewise, no dalmatina ín Jutland nor on the northern half of Zealand (save for an introduced population in a forest north of Copenhagen).

Altitudinal distribution:

T. marmoratus is listed as "up to almost 2000 m". I've found it in a pond at 2120 in the Guadarrama.

Likewise, girondica is listed as "as high as 1600 m". I've seen it at 1800 in the Gredos.
