This spring, coming back from Cres, I've taken a meal in Slovenia not far from the italian border of Pesek.

I don't know whether it's a muralis or a horvathi, but I think it could be the second one... :?:

I'm not an expert but just looking at the tail I'd say muralis. I. horvathi has rings alternating in width while the rings on this one look all the same width.

You are right: I've found only now the 3d where Mario told me about this feature.
I hoped to have found something special in that beautiful place!

I strongly hope you have - a good meal before leaving Slovenia. Have you?

 You hate me now cause I doubted about the existence of walser viper, I know! ;)
Yes, I've eaten good baby pig and drunk one big beer and two schnapps for about 15 euros: in Italy I should have left my credit card there for an authopsy!

I dont hate you in the least. V. walseri will take care of itself, be it a species or not. Most probably it is.
I just envy you for the meal you had. You shouldn't have described the details... to a hungry man (at the
moment).
