I was born on the 25th of December 1992 in Vienna. My herpetological interests started at the age of 5, when I saw a snake for the first time in my life. At the age of 10 I started going out in the fields and looking for reptiles more often than before and soon had my camera whith me each time I went out. Since then I learned a lot, due to my own searches aswell as from literature, especially about Austrian reptiles and amphibians. Becouse parts of my family live in Romania, I often look for reptiles over there too.
One of my favourite places is coastal Croatia, for there are many beautiful reptiles and habitats to be found, just like in Turkey.
- This is me with a Hierophis gemonensis on Ciovo Island, Croatia. I was trying to explain to the locals that it this was NO "gusterica" (lizard) and demonstrate that also a "zmije" (snake) can be harmless (unfortunately without too much success)
