Hello from another Croatian herper! When I found out Boris registered, I just had to join.
My name is Mladen Zadravec, also a student of Biology. I've been working with Croatian herpetofauna (mostly snakes) since 2004. At first it was just something I did as a hobby- searching for herps around my vacation cottage NE of Zagreb. But that changed during 2007., when I met Dušan Jelić and Berislav Horvatić, my first two mentors when it comes to working with snakes (and other herps).
Edit: I'm a member of the Croatian Herpetologycal Society HYLA, Biology Students Association BIUS, Croatian Society for Biologycal Research HDBI and Croatian Mountaineering Society "Zagreb-Matica" (ecology section).
I also have two web sites- one about Croatian snakes and one about the biodiversity around my vacation cottage (links are in my signature).
Here are a couple of pictures of me with some of the most beautiful and fascinating creatures on Earth:
with N. natrix (2009.):
with an 80cm long V. ammodytes (2009.):
with P. muralis (2008.):
with V. u. macrops (2009.):
Looking forward to exchanging many stories from the field and learning something new!
