Bastien from Switzerland

Postby Bastien Comment » Fri Nov 12, 2010 1:43 am

Hi there everyone!

I'm Bastien from Lausanne in Switzerland. I'm 28 years old and I'm a big snakes enthusiast for a very long time: I was 6 years old when I caught my first Natrix natrix in Geneva. Despite this, it's only recently that I've started to check the reptiles and snakes forums on the net and this one grabbed my attention because it's specialised in herping. Herping is what I prefer. There's no way to describe the feeling when you finally find a snake after hours of search in the nature. So I've wanted to share some of my experiences with you and I can tell you that I've already spent a good time browsing your topics and I like them very much ;)

Cheers!

Hello Bastien,

welcome on board :P
and happy herping for the next years (with the ulterior motive to see more pics of your herping trips) ;)

Salut Bastien,

Welcome on this forum. I am happy to see that you are from Switzerland, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to show us good asp vipers pictures too! By the way, as you're from Lausanne, I guess you already visited the vivarium of Lausanne: Would you have some pictures to share in the dedicated section?

Thanks and see you,

Guillaume

Hi!

Thanks for your messages!

Mario: I have to say I'm also very impatient to be in spring and summer 2011. Next year, I would like to see and take pictures of species I've never seen so far: Elaphe scalaris, Malpolon monspessulanus (I've only seen a dead one when I was like 9 years old and in vacation in south of France with my parents), Zamenis situla and maybe (hopefully) some more exotics because I should go to South Africa in November 2011... ;)

Guillaume: indeed, I have an excellent asp vipers spot but I don't have pictures yet. I usually always see at least one viper there but last time I went there with a camera, I didn't see any. As said above, I'm very very impatient to be in 2011...

For the vivarium, of course I've already visited it but again I don't have pictures...but that's a good reason to go back there as it's been a very long time.

Cheers!
