new from Holland: Joris

hello everyone!
My name is Joris, just another crazy dutchman...
Reason to visit, and to sign up for this forum, is my growing interest in fieldherping. For many years I have several turtles at home, as well as two cornsnakes. I'm also a nature guide for one of the Dutch nature organisations, and within this group I'm trying to put the herpetofauna in a better daylight!
As I also like to know more about the reptiles and amphibians in the wild, I always search for animals on my holidays. On my own website TheDutchHerper is/will be more to read about me, my animals and fieldtrips. My maingoal during herping is to find tortoises, turtles and terrapins, but I'm still getting more and more interested in other herps...

Some of my trips from which I have a bunch of cool pictures include Ecuador, The Galapagos isands, Zakynthos-island, Dalyan in Turkey, La Brenne in France and some trips in the Netherlands.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask!

cheers!
Joris

Hi Joris,

You know, I could tell you were a ``crazy dutchman``; i mean who else would have the courage to handle a viridiflavus with such a small twig.

Welcome to the forum man! :D

 hahaha, small stick, hmmm.
To be honest, it was the only stick around and the snake was not so fond of me that I could pick it up that easy.
And as a turtle-man that was the first wild and pretty large snake I handled, so I was glad the stick was around! hahaha!

I spend the day at the office with a little bt surfing trough this website and :D great site!

Well, enough small talk, for now a few more pics (which already were in size to post) selected from my trip to Dalyan!
