Uganda tripreport - May 2018

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

What a trip and report! Great images! I mustache you a question, how is the experience with the kx800 twin flash in rainforest conditions compared to other flashes? Would you think it's more fragile or more of a hassle to use?

What a great trip! Simply fantastic! Excellent photography! And a very good read as always, Bobby. But at the same time it's depressing to see how nature is being destroyed like in many parts of the world.

Did you paint those Variegated Grasshoppers?

As far as I can tell, it is surprisingly sturdy - survived 3 rough and several smaller herptrips by now. I thought the bendable arms might be prone to damage, but until now they are holding up fine. And as the arms are fixed to the camera and you don´t need any additonal construction or hand to hold them, I find it also rather convenient to use in comparison to other available alternatives.
I guess all more sophisticated flash systems have their pros and cons, but all in all I am satisfied with the cost-benefit-ratio of the kx800.
