Congratulations!
We can only envy, temperatures are still above zero and berus sites are covered by snow.

First berus for me was on the 18th February, along with 2 common lizards, I have some pics which I've yet to upload to my computer. Quite early for the agilis Ray!

I've only just moved to Dorset so not too sure when they usually show at this particular reserve. It certainly feels very early.

The way the temperatures have now dropped again will have certainly sent them straight back under cover.

First silver bullets of the year for me today. 3 males; M8, M12, then M5 observed during the course of 3 hours.

I thought I had a chance of being one of the first to see berus this year when I was home during a warm spell in February. At this time the rest of the country had adders and even sand lizards out basking, but for some reason Cumbria stayed snake-free until the following week when I was back at university. Two weeks ago, when I was next at home, there was rain and then snow which allowed zero observations to be made! I'm hoping for a lot more activity in the next week before I go back to uni and begin my final exams!
