So you are not far away from Grasse, it would be the best chance to make your girlfriend happy with some excelent parfumes
I have no real experience at this region (at low altitudes), but - as far as I remember - good is the Cap d'Antibes for P. muralis and L.- bilineata and, along the road to Grasse (close to the capital of parfumes) you will pass some nice Maccia areas, where you may find Chalcides striatus, lacertids and Malpolon.

Speleomantes strinatii is a seasonable goal. I had the stupidity to visit the(?) French mainland site for Euleptes last year in November - a crazy drive with 100 u-turns to reach a cool cliff in what felt like subzero temperatures.

Massif des Maures for Testudo. It´s only about 45 mins from Nice.

Edit: Plaine des Maures
